Ryan Simpson

Ryan Simpson has been chasing music since he first sat behind a drum kit in 1997. Nearly three decades of playing, writing, and performing across genres that don't always agree with each other — and he wouldn't have it any other way.From co-founding instrumental prog rock band KSP at 14, to drumming for The Scotty Bratcher Band, to co-founding funk and dance group Dat Band and progressive rock band Crown Watts — with whom he still plays — Ryan has never stopped evolving as an artist. That journey has produced six solo projects, including his most recent full-length Carriages at Midnight (2025).His influences range from Rush and Tool to Pink Floyd and Death Cab for Cutie, and that range shows up in everything he writes."I find it so amazing when people can connect with my music."
